"O paano yan, mag-eempake na ako ang mga gamit ko," sabi ni Pedro Penduko na may halong buntong hininga.

Mabigat ang damdamin ni Eternal Wanderer. Tahimik lang siyang nakahiga sa kama habang pinapanood si Pedro ilagay ang mga natiklop na damit sa loob ng maleta. 

Paalis na kasi Pedro the next day. Uuwi na ng probinsya para makasama ang kanyang anak.

Araw nang Byernes. Nagising ng wala sa wisyo si Eternal Wanderer. Tumingin siya sa orasan at napa-shet in a croaky voice. Alas-syete na kasi. Hindi nya narining ang alarm. Siguradong super-traffic na naman sa EDSA. Baka ma-late sya sa trabaho. Kaya bumangon sya na inaalimpungatan pa't pumunta kaagad sa banyo para maligo.

Pagbukas nya ng pintuan, ang laking gulat nya!

You see the edge of a blunt blade as you slowly bring it to your wrist.

It starts with a dull sensation as the blade goes back and forth across the thin skin. 

Then comes the searing pain; the skin finally rips.  You know it is coming, yet a part of you is still caught off-guard by the immediacy of the sensation.

I finally made the move from our QC office to the Shaw one. To be honest about it, I really wasn't  looking forward to the change. It meant being stuck in a permanent day shift. I know some people prefer that. I actually don't. I'm a nocturnal creature by habit, and like any good or bad habits, it's hard to get it out of my system. Besides, we're not even talking about the morning and evening traffic rush, nor the fact that it's goodbye to night differential, and that...
