i believe that honesty is the better choice. but we should always act with kindness when we are being honest.

sometimes we tend to make white lies in order to be kind. too much honesty is tantamount to being not kind at all especially so if the truth really hurts...
I take honesty because it has long term effects.

to be honest with you, I think honesty is overrated. we've been dishing out "well-meaning" honest feedbacks, enough already. what we lack as a people, in our culture, is kindness. if it's a choice over the other, I will choose to be kind than to be honest... all the time.
