Tagging Season

Urgh, and I thought tagging was so last year.  But no, I got tagged in Facebook, where else?  After giving it thought, I decided to share here what I listed down. Anyhoo, here's part of  the mechanics of the tag:

Don't take too long to think about it. Thirty books (providing you've read 30 or more than 30 books) you've read that will always stick with you. List the first 30 you can recall in no more than thirty minutes.

Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
It by Stephen King
The House of Spirits by Isabel Allende
Noli Me Tangere by Jose Rizal trans. by Leon Ma. Guerreo
Dragonlance Chronicles 1-3 by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman
Jonathan Livingstone Seagull by Richard Bach
Prayer of the Frog Vol. 1 by Anthony de Mello
Witching Hour by Anne Rice
Veronica Decides to Die by Pablo Coelho
Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Pet Sematary by Stephen King
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
Dragonlance The Second Generation 1-2 by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman
Illusions: Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach
Holy Blood, Holy Grail by Micheal Baignet, Richard Leigh, and Harry Lincoln
By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Pablo Coelho
Death Gate Cycle 1-7 by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman
Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice
Love in Time of Cholera Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Messianic Legacy by Micheal Baignet, Richard Leigh, and Harry Lincoln
Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel

Hmmm, heavy in fantasy and South American fiction, plus a sprinkling of horror, (quasi) Christian historicity, inspirational stuff, and an odd classic or two thrown in.  I'd be proud of my reading list.  My mom, on the other hand, would shiver at the thought of the pulps I consume.

Mom: And you're reading your dragons again!  (Inspecting the Stephen King)  You read too much horror and comic books.  Why don't you try going over more classics or even Proust.

*insert rolls eyes here*

Oh Mom dearest, if it were up to me, I'd really rather read Chika-Chika and Valentino! lolz
